The anime made me cry cuz I though shion fucking died bruh. I was bamboozled for a hot sec there. But the anime made me really confused, and the manga really cleared things up.
I feel like the anime did a good job on getting rid of unnecessary characters and made us feel a better connection with safu. BUT I HATED SAFU IN THE ANIME she was so fucking weird and i couldnt relate to her at all. The manga Safu was so sweet. I like her better.
I liked the anime but the manga ending is more fulfilling. Also I hate the uncle. He had so much potential to become another character I simped for but he went haywire

Ik yall hate that she didnt end up with Akira chan, but I'm kinda glad she didn't since the moral was more like "first love doesnt last" and Hime moved on from her one sided love that lasted more than a decade.
Although I wish they put more effort into Akira's romance, I know she doesnt like girls, but the author couldve at least hinted she would be in a relationship to show trans girls can find love too.
I dont think Akira was tossed to the side for a str8 romance. To begin with, this story is about finding yourself, and accepting it. There should be a side story with Akira as the mc because she deserves love too, just not woth Hime
