I agree, anyone on her shoes would have reacted the same. I personally think that her finding the rumours late is only natural especially since she doesnt have real friends before. Addition to that, of course she wouldnt have guessed such a bad rumour especially since she thinks she is insignificant enough to be the center of it. She was not dumb tho and noticed the malice she is getting so i dont understand how people think of her as dumb and and a doormat. Like bro think of the era and environment she is in.
