I don't even know if he being one of ten is even a thing, (but you know in the writer's world there is this thing like, if there exists a gun in drawer, it should go off by the end of book. A full circle kinda thing I mean.) That's what made me think there could be relationship between that and Yuji's extraordinary strength.

The contract was Sukuna yelling something, like a keyword, and Yuuji will make way for Sukuna for a whole minute (and Sukuna can’t hurt/kill anyone while that happens) The thing that happened earlier wasn’t Sukuna yelling the word, rather him overpowering Yuuji because of the amount of fingers they made Yuuji consume. I just assumed that Sukuna didn't use the contract yet. Like Itadori lost control of his body when he was unconcious and was fed by another one of the fingers and not by the contract. And if Sukuna did used the contract, I'm pretty sure that they would include him saying the magic word.
If you go back, sukuna originally only had two rules to the contract and said the third to try and get itadori to agree. When he didn’t he gave him the option to kill him(sukuna) and to give his body back or sukuna will kill itadori and only have the two original rules. Because he beat itadori the contract is in place without the rule of not harming or killing anyone if I remember correctly.
oh thats right! i remember that made sense when i read it and i forgot. that was itadori mentally breaking down and sukuna simply taking advantage of that when normally he wouldn't be able to.
if sukuna could take over anytime, he wouldn't have made that promise in the first place. one of the conditions wasn't that he wouldn't try to get out either. the.... contract? was built on the idea that sukuna wouldn't be able to overpower itadori normally.
so its like.... itadori, by not placing that limit on sukuna, actually made such a dangerous deal lol. of course he got to come back to life, but other than that it was a totally losing agreement. sukuna can continuously try to break out and have than minute to come out when he really really wants to.
