Its nit curable but there are anti herpes medicines which will decrease the chances of transition and its not serious like aids or other life threatening std

Just to add a little more education. If you’ve ever had a cold sore, you have had HSV-1 (herpes simplex virus). Whereas HSV-2 is usually responsible for genital herpes. In the same way that you can get cold sores again (because the virus is now present in the body), genital herpes are consistent and can reappear, hence why it is not curable, but is treatable under medication.
