yesss also one thing i noticed: during the resolution to that avoidance after they get out of the car and mc confronts ml about the avoidance, there's a moment where they look into each other's eyes and you see that in the ml's eyes, the mc's reflected figure is male with short hair, not female with his long hair. he saw the mc as male in that scene 100% and he was accepting that he liked the mc regardless of his true gender
oh also, in that same scene there was a lot of focus on mc's male parts. the artist drew mc's adam apple, his broad shoulders, his male hands, with more emphasis than normal and purpose, because the ml's perception of mc changed to male and he was viewing him as such.
