I'm get so grossed out when the fl is s/a or almost s/a and then after she's rescued she's having sex with her savior. And that the abuser literally just gets away with it with little ot no consequences.
It's a trope I really wish authors would stop using. I powered through due to the art but the ending was less than to be desired.
Unfortunately, even the cute kids couldn't save this one for me. It has potential, for sure, but it feels.....disjointed at times.
Sadly... I do agree. Not even the kids save it. No matter what, that ml is irredeemable. No excuses would ever be enough to whitewash him. I'd be less angry if he knowingly and willingly cheated on her... but that? To bring the kids of the woman whose name he called when sleeping with her to her right after she miscarried their kid? No. No matter how emotionally inept he is that's totally bs.
The kids are innocent, but that man... It's trash, burn it twice.
Idk what it is, but the story is just not doing it for me. Especially the odd turn with the statue and the clock, like I get the why I guess, but it kinda just feels like a weird random addition that took me out.
Like the story itself isn't bad, but the pacing to me feels off a bit, and that the audience is rushed through the character development.
Well....this is karma for the amount of times I have complained about slow, drawn out plots.
