i was keeping up with this back when the unofficials were first coming out and finished it the first time around. haven’t come back to it until now and wow it’s better than i remember. the proportions aren’t even bad so idk why some nerds on tt are saying that, there’s actual good development, and 90% of the time no one does anything overly stupid; everyone is reasonable and the author was great at portraying emotion.
the concept intrigued me from the start, but we barely explored the characters and their dynamics. for example, why tease yeonil's backstory from the start just to have a flashback from hs telling us his relationship w/ mingyu instead of SHOWING us? he's such a complex character just for us to be left hanging at the end, readers still don't know the full story of why he suddenly started treating yeonil like a stranger, there's obv much more to it than "I'm leaving him alone bc he told me to fuck off" like r u srs rn
im not mad about their final relationship status, but there's def more to be said and developed that leads to this point. should've been at least 20-30 more chapters before this final one imo. mingyu was also a useless character save for 1 ep of jealousy, they should've done more with him to make baek more aware of his own feelings --> flesh that out more.
ig ill just wait on officials, maybe that'll change my opinion on this series bc this just seems like no thought was put into it (ever since like ~ch 15)
author went freaky with this one
