This whole story is resumed by "the real revenge is the friends we get along the way", there's no plot (really), no revenge (really), and also basically no sex till chap 80 or 90, almost at the end only. I can forgive no action, no romance if we get a good story but c'mon 90 chapters os basically nothing? All the plot is happening in the background, the revenge everything and it just pissed me off, I read it till the end just to see if it was worth it and it really wasn't. I means it was okay the whole "find something to live for" and yada yada but I wanted revenge, romance, sex, oh well can't say we didn't get it but at the same time would I ever recommend it to someone? No, never. (︶︿︶)=凸

The revenge being "unsatisfying" is actually one of the best parts imo.
It was fueled mostly by grief, anger and self-blame and the entire time, his plan was to die afterwards. Before all this, he was just going through the motions of living, but to execute his revenge, he had to actually step outside of his sphere, develop connections with people and "put effort" into doing more than just getting through the day.
He was so sure that getting back at song myungshin would give him some sort of "relief" that would make him feel like he'd done everything that was needed to do and release him from any remaining tie he had to the world. But in the end, things rarely go the way you plan.
To me, this was less abt revenge and more abt yoohan processing his grief and finding things in life that make it worth living.
That's my take on it at least and i def haven't worded everything well but anyw, i think the author and this adaptation did a good job showing all that.
if they kill him he can't talk with the guides or do shit to them so why ARENT YOU KILLING HIM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
