Kinda not as excited for this as I used to be. It's becoming repetitive and disgusting. Sure it was underage from the start but I thought they would grow more physically and mentally but Ren is still underage and Haru is still mindlessly clueless. Also don't like that Aki and Shima disapprove of t the relationship in one scene but then condone it in another.Haru keeps dancing between brother and love interest and he needs to make up his mind. One minute he's feeling up Ren and being jealous, the next he's flirting with girls and ignoring Ren. Honestly he's just a horribly messed up person is what I've come to understand. No regard for Ren's feelings, just continuously stringing him along and still hanging out with girls. Has no conviction in the slightest. I've gotten to the point where I am so tired of the inappropriate touches, the manipulation, and obliviousness that I'm starting to wish Juuzen was at least Bi so he could woo Ren and get him into a healthy relationship instead of an unhealthy, manipulative, and inappropriate one.

It's not as simple as that. There are many factors of the law and some only apply to specific parts of Japan.
There are three primary acts regarding the matter. The one mention being the Penal Code, however the Juvenile Obscene Acts, takes precedence over the Penal Code, set out laws relating to the age of consent for specific prefectures. In some, sexual activity with anyone below the age of 15 is illegal, but in others the age of consent is as high as 18.

This is fiction ok? Ik it can be frustrating but it's fantasy. In yaoi mangas, there aren't a lot of switching. Most of it is dub con or outright rape. But it's ok. Cause it's a fantasy. It's not meant to model real life, it's meant to satisfy the fantasies and fetishes of the writer, reader, or both. Gay men in real life switch a lot, people in real life can't shoot lasers out of their eyes. Do y'all expect fictional worlds to abide by every law of reality, cause if they did, they'd be defeating the purpose of being fictional.

I do have an obsession with yaoi and BL I admit but it's totally different in real life. I read a lot of BL mangas and fanfics and I can't help but ship male characters in movies and TV shows together, however, I am not delusional. Though I support gay rights and lgbtq and all the letters in the alphabet, I don't go around annoying gay guys.
My interest in yaoi does not affect how I act towards gay couples. It's pretty separate. As i've stated, these mangas are to satisfy the author and the readers. It does not have to interact at all with real life. In my opinion and in relation to me, yaoi and BL does not represent the actual gay community AT ALL.
And while I like reading mangas with male characters being intimate, in actuality I don't like watching gay men kiss, just as I don't like watching anyone kiss, whether straight, gay, non binary, etc. Yaoi is totally separate in my view. Like you stated, one can simply like yaoi however even if a person makes a fetish out of it, that doesn't necessarily translate to how they interact with real gay people. The fetish may actually be for fictional characters alone.
Ex: I ship Destiel in the show Supernatural. The actors are completely straight and married and I don't care. I ship the characters. Not the actual actors. I am completely aware that their real life dynamic are that of brothers and best friends and I don't ship them at all. That's the best way I can explain it.

I loved it at first but then just got frustrated. Dunno how anyone can see this as a lighthearted and fun manga. Yeun is basically acting like a child with zero rationality. He literally goes to meet with untrustworthy people with no protection. It's like, how DUMB are you? This dude tries to hurt him multiple times and he's like 'let's go back to being friends.' Seriously?

Joel is a real shitty father and person. Is he doing his best? No! Absolutely not! He literally got off work and went to check on another kid instead of his own child. And he was proud of it. Imagine all the times poor Jesse was home alone, not because his only parent was busy, but because his father wanted to get his dick wet. I don't get him. There is absolutely NOTHING to put to his defense. Sure there are other parents who think "what did I do wrong" when their children come out but not many of those parents are in inappropriate relations with young persons of their own gender or sex. Though it seems like he his brain is that of a Neanderthal since he seems to think what he's doing to Jesse is 'fatherly.'

I don't like Chase and Joel. Not because of the age gap but because they're both so fucking stupid. Jace may be technically an adult but his maturity level is like 0. He's definitely got abandonment issues that he needs to sort out with a therapist. He doesn't learn from his mistakes cause he was dating that teacher which was wrong and also ended with him being played and now he's attached himself to another adult. The Joel is either really fucking stupid or just cruel. Who the fuck thinks it's 'fatherly' and ok to lie around in bed and share a room and bed with someone they're not romantically interested in? Like, seriously? Chase is so desperate and obvious in his 'seduction' attempts a monkey could figure it out but not Joel. No he thinks it's totally logical. Also Chase acts like a victim but all this time he's basically trying to manipulate Joel into sleeping with him. What a mess! Bring back the funny main story and put their stuff in an extra.

I don't really like Chase. It's rude to be flirting with someone's relative while knowing that it makes them uncomfortable. I know some people pity him but honestly it just seems like he's a demented and abandoned (child)puppy who gets attached to the first human(adult) to look at them kindly. I don't blame Jesse for disliking him. I'd be uncomfortable too if someone my age kept flirting with my dad, especially thinking about the fact that the person is not only manipulative but also would be my my step-parent if they married my dad. Again, he's manipulative and obviously taking advantage of the man's obliviousness.

I'm...not feeling this anymore. I love the art style but I didn't think it would be this long and intense. I initially started reading it thinking it would be about 6 or so chapters with light plot. But it's long and the plot is a bit too much for me especially with the rape, death, blood. Maybe I'll come back some day and finish it but I'm removing it from my 'now reading' list.
Can we go back to the cute couple. Author fooled me for a second. Thought it was finally going to be about Jesse and Andy but it's like they're the side couple now. Frustrating. Joel is still as confusing as ever and he seemed to be making progress until he proved consistent in his shittyness at the cliffhanger. Also his progress looks fake as fuck.
