This was such a compelling tale still feeling dazed, I got so invested that I feel like crying and vomiting at the same time, It was all to bittersweet but I guess that’s how it is supposed to feel like to live life with such an intensity just like a natural force wreaking a havoc and shaking you to your core, to feel love (dependance, obsession) like that, is something that I quite frankly wold never like to experience … it makes me extremely scared; also It is pretty admirable the fact that those two (natsume and kou) were able to become functional members of society.
Can only wish to have the mental fortitude of Ootomo and kana …
This was a superb work of art, it dissects perfectly many of today’s societal issues
I would like to talk about this manga more in-depth but I’m afraid this could become an essay.
This is a must read, there were comments saying that this was frustrating but I beg to differ this is the most human work I have read in a while, the narrative was so amazingly well done that we, the readers, could feel the angst, melancholy, and bittersweet hopefulness of the characters
of all the years I have been reading yaoi, I’ve realized that mangago has some of the most solitary communities, I’m so thankful to those people who pick up a project that has been abandoned, I wish to be of help some day. I’m infinitely grateful for the effort fansubs and fans put into this manga, love you guys
I bawled my eyes out when sentarou appears dressed in those robes, It was the absolute saddest thing about all this, he never got to properly love, kaoru also ended up with quite a fucked up life since he never really found joy in the career path he choose... the only happy thing about all this BS is that sen and kaoru ended up living close to each other, proving that kaoru always cared more about sen (he choose to live next to him rather that with riko).... now if you excuse me I have to go get depressed for a couple of months
I don’t understand why the friends kept saying that naoto was ugly, he is one of most handsome characters sensei has ever drawn (let’s not forget hayashida, ufff he is also hotter that the sun) his face, body and style were on point, love his little fang all the glasses he wore (the ones he had when they were at the hisami household were my favs) ... honestly in my maybe unpopular opinion nao was wayyyyyy better looking than hase. beautiful story, loved every single part of it... well the abuse was definitely not cool but hey hase repented, he realized how fucked up he was, improved and got less toxic sorted out his family issues and treated nao with respect, so it’s not about normalizing abuse but about overcoming their traumas and improving as was shown here.
This broke me, It has been some time since something hit me this hard since reading solanin 5 years ago, this is such a powerful work I don't think I can continue going with my day, ufff need to take some time off to unwind, the only thing I can say to anyone hesitating about reading it is: this is such a well written work not enough words to describe the feelings stirring inside of me, makes me confirm that we really are human and that we are alive, give yourself the chance to feel this along with all of us !!
