So to my understanding the raws are further along than the English version right? So wouldnt they be able to continue releasing the translations until it’s caught up to the raws and THEN announce hiatus? I’ve seen this happen with a couple of comics and I always wondered why they didn’t do that since it could continue to generate money for the author for the work they’ve already done, right? I’m unfamaliar with the methods of the webtoon-translation world so if there’s a huge factor I’m unaware of please let me know. I was just curious.

Whoever uploaded the hiatus shouldn't have b/c at this point we all know it's on hiatus. That hiatus update has been on Lezhin EN since it was on hiatus in December. And it's pointless since this will probably resume in another few weeks or so. They probably added in the note that the EN will resume in a few weeks, b/c it probably confused people.
But yes, a lot of webtoons raws are further ahead than the english version. I made a post a while back explaining this. BL Motel KO and EN versions are 4 chapters apart. The third chapter just came out today so we have probably another 2 weeks (this depends on the upload date, they bother release on different days of the week) until it should resume again.
Something about that last panel just tugs at my heartstrings so much because gosh dogs really do freaking love you and that’s just so incredible
