but the dad and the grandma disgust me because not only are they blatantly ignoring her, they even decide to send her away although they know she’s developing a horrible personality. if you want her to be the heir shouldn’t you teach her common etiquette by treating her like a person instead of locking her away into her studies all day? she’s a kid for gods sake, kids cannot take studying that long, especially in a toxic environment like she is where no one cares nor listens to her, and all she has to do is hear the praise of a child she doesn’t even know. of course her personality would be horrible in the future, y’all made her that way
Every kid of her age and class gets the same education. You are treating this as a modern time form of education and it not. By age 16 they became adults. Shes like 10 now so she way behind of studies for the weathly. By 15, most females in that era would already be married off. So as someone more than half that age. She has to get used it. If she is to fit in with other nobles, find a husband, and have another family accept her as an in-law.

Except we don’t know what era they came from. We don’t know what the laws of that land are or how social constructs work in that world. You are just making the assumption that it is similar to our world when we don’t know that.
this story really broke my heart because not only was kyujin in love with both of them but they both also loved him so much. i don’t necessarily think it’s good that he ran away but he did it to break the cycle. let’s be honest their relationships were pretty toxic, and the semes were always paranoid and unsure of their relationship with kyujin and ended up making toxic choices. also, kyujin? cheating is never okay bb and you did it so many times...
i feel like she’s so op but also so dumb so it just kind of cancels out and we get no where
IKR the way she's always making such a big deal out of not standing out is really annoying
