I fucking hate this story for never letting Chloe criticize the ML. And I would seriously drop it if I didn’t spend like 4 years trying to keep up with it.
I don’t understand he got what he wanted and Lily isn’t even mad about it. So why is he crying? You can’t be in love with Alec and still have the same story! But going as far as to lock himself in his room for days! I’m losing brain cells.
Why aren’t they on the same page? Mistress keeps calling it love, Duke says it’s nothing. One of them is either lying or massively misunderstanding the situation. And I’m inclined to believe it’s the mistress since she has powers the Duke needs her for. I’m sure we’ll find out later but it’s a pretty stupid plot. How does that kind of misunderstanding even happen for 3 years and the Duke doesn’t catch on. Stupid plot, stupid man.
Also, the story is kind of hard to follow along (probably because of the translation, but still). Like when did she reincarnate because she already knows the og’s parents. She seems to know the world well enough despite only reading half the novel. So she obviously needed time for that and I wanna know when she did it.

I’m glad he’s shutting that crap down. I don’t think she’s lying about abusing him to isolate him. But don’t confuse your toxic possessiveness with love. Just cause you loved him doesn’t change the fact that he was hurt by it!
