This is just misunderstanding after misunderstanding, no breaks whatsoever! They both just assume things about each other even when trying to communicate. ML is pretty stupid allowing Mia to cling onto him like that ESPECIALLY around others he must no care about FL's reputation at all. Mia's always shit talking yet he doesn't speak up which allows room for her and others to misunderstand. Mia only grows more arrogant because he gives her the space to.
I'm not gonna give FL a whole lot of criticism because I feel there's a power imbalance between her and the ML. She keeps her mouth shut not only because she was raised and trained to but also because she is relying on the ML to not get tired of her since she doesn't have anywhere else to go. I can't say I like these types of stories a lot. Misunderstandings and getting pregnant then running away are just the worst tropes.
