Why is this story trying to make us feel bad for him like the 1st season just didn't happen?????? Telling us how evil his dad is, telling us his mom left, telling us how much he actually cares about the MC. He's still the same trash that blackmailed the MC into uprooting his whole life in exchange for medicine, he's still the same trash who's been consistently raping him, and HE STILL HASN'T APOLOGIZED FOR ANY OF IT.
It's literally just Kiss me Liar all over again! Terrible ML who treats the MC like complete shit for the better part of the story only for a completely unexplained 180 halfway through with some dogshit sob story thrown for pity points! It's trying to go the BJ Alex and Painter of the Night route without putting in the time and chapters to write a good redemption arc It's lazy writing I hate to call it that but that's what it is.
I can't be the only one noticing the drop in story quality of manhwa (straight and bl) over the last couple of years. It's like they just pump out stories nowadays like fast fashion. Either authors are suddenly shit at writing nowadays or something else is going on. It's just sad to see.
