You hype someone up and then when tge perfect shows itself to have chinks in it you criticize them forgot living up to your expectations.
It's a human fault made worse because of the circumstances of the times and each person's political role.
The question is, what does he do with that information? Does he try to make it up to Vlad? Try to help him?
Or does he follow typical political roles and write him off as a lost cause and cut ties? Because it will hurt his political standing and endanger him to remain close?
Remember in a battle for a throne...the leader carries ALL of the lives under him that swore loyalty to him. Him endangering his political standing could get them all killed.

It’s a FANTASY manga are you guys forgetting that? And especially the people who haven’t caught up to the manga yet and only read a few chapters, who are you to speak on the writing? There is obviously background information we don’t know yet, that’s a main point of interest. By the end of the manga i’m sure it’ll all play out and make sense, so far that’s what’s happening albeit slowly. There’s not a lot of romance at all even I, who doesn’t like romance in action manga aren’t bothered so… Plus as a person who’s read at least 50 of these generic tropes, it’s much less annoying and has differences from the others that stand out so I was able to catch up without being bored. However if you don’t like reading the same (but slightly different) stories over and over again like me yes, there are better stories to read go look for those but this doesn’t deserve the hate some comments are giving lol!
