at this rate, both joian are just using sex as a tool to cope with their situation im sorry but the sex scene are hard for me to read. its uncomfortable, its not comforting considering the situation they're in now

i feel like yalls are too fixated on whos the eg, but this story is not a black and white. all of them are morally grey, theres no good guy or villain guy. all three characters are gonna go through a character development and this is a noir theme ffs. ian does not need anyone to save him, he's the one who need to save himself

ok lets think and do a recap again. okay so ian wants a normal life right? far from gang/crime stuff. he craves for an ideal and normal life and at the beginning he saw jo as potential partner where he can get that and jo seems to be the 'best choice' since he can offer that normal/ideal life right? but the situation now, dont u guys think the 'normal life' seems to be crumble apart????? so do joian need to escape and running from away from being hunted by the gang???? whats normal about that? jo wants to give up everything that he has? he wants to abandon his family/his normal life for ian so they can go on the run and escape? the normal life/loving family that ian's been wanting from the start? whats the diff between his life with jo and tj then? im trying to understand here bc i dont get it

bc i feel like ian wouldnt appreciate that bc how easy it is for jo to abandon everything when that 'everything' is a thing that ian literally wants/dreams of from the start. if jo really decides to do that, im sure ian would feel very guilty/burden by that decision

That’s a very good point. When Ian first thought of Jo, he saw him as a way to escape the dangerous world of gangs and crime, hoping for that ‘normal’ life he longed for. But as we see, the situation keeps getting more complicated. Now, Jo is putting everything on the line, including his family and normal life, to be with Ian, which is ironically the same thing Ian wanted to escape from in the first place. It’s like they’re both trapped in this cycle, unable to escape their pasts and what they’ve become. In a way, they are both running away from the same things, but in different ways. So the question is, can they really have that ‘normal’ life they both wanted, or is it already too late for that? It’s hard to say, but it seems like they both need to face their pasts in order to find any peace, and running away might not lead to the future they hope for.

as much as i want to know whos the eg (i prefer ian to end up alone, go seek therapy bro) i feel like most of yall arent hold ian accountable for whatever he did, he is not saint. tj this, tj that, jo this and jo that. i feel like all of this root from ian's action that lead to all of this mess. he's unpredictable and he wont open up. whether he is with jo or tj, he is still in unstable state and he is the one who need to change and save himself, not relying on someone else to seek normal life and peace.
