their first (penetrative) time was so ass it honestly made me dislike seo-in. the language seo-in uses against yw is horrible, combined with seo-in’s past r//pe fantasies, shiet behavior, and his possessiveness, I’m honestly gonna be surprised if the author can truly redeem his character. idk what the final resolution will be for him, but as of now he just seems like he’s idealizing a version of yw that fits his own freak (derogatory!!). ik his full perspective is yet to be shown but atp send his ass to impel downnn!!!
Comparatively, chapter 30 is an absolute MASTERPIECE— the expressions, position variety, and seo-in’s inner dialogue is heaven for yaoi enjoyers, GOLD STAR WORTHY!!

the ending was just… huh
obviously I know it falls in the dark BL category, but the last 20 or so episodes just felt so unnecessary tbh. I’m not kicking the author, but I felt like there was definitely other ways to get from “koh brothers hate pilwon” to “koh brothers ultimately contribute to pilwon’s downfall” without adding that weird (somewhat ooc) dooshik revenge arc. getting revenge was definitely in the cards for dooshik, so that in itself wasn’t odd, but the method was definitely insane. ultimately I understand his roundabout act of revenge contributed to him being able to double cross pilwon later but gd yall after a certain point I was wishing everyone would just d*e everyone, into the trash can pls! The jooha and subsequent brother torture p0rn honestly felt like the author suddenly remembered this was a dark BL and just decided everyone needed to get r—ped to make up for it
Overall, the story is pretty okay. I think what makes it the most interesting was definitely the literal Pearl boy aspect of it, which kinda gets forgotten in the last season lol (or at least, everyone becomes so used to it, it kinda just becomes irrelevant). some parts did feel super repetitive—like jooha’s self doubt… she was in fact a slow burn— but for the most part this just feels like p0rn with plot. I WILL SAY, I haven’t felt such burning hatred for a villain in a long time as much as I did for pilwon, so kudos to the author for writing such a shitty character (and I mean this as a compliment lol)

Pretty basic story, but much rather prefer two overthinkers who just care about each other than the classic omegaverse grape story
however I will say… dohya’s ending being that he ended up with the kid he knew and tutored WHILE HE WAS A MIDDLE SCHOOLER is just… brother eugh

dohyun never liked wooyeon (the middle schooler) when he was in middle school, he still like yoonwoo that time. it was wooyeon who liked him. there was a timeskip bc wooyeon ended up going abroad and coming back as a university student. this time, dohyun is the sunbae. there was never anything like grooming going on
worst part of this all is I’m too nosy to drop this, like where the hell is this plot even going!!! everyone here stinks but I need to know what happens!!!!!!!!
