The main problem of this story reminds me of Fushigi Yugi i.e. the fact that everyone besides her are "fiction" / characters from a book. I'm pretty interested how this would wrap up

THIS. i can't believe i cried because of this. it's rare for me to "re-like" a character who had been abusive of their lovers esp in yaoi but this author just wrote an "explanation" or an after for that abuser and it's nice to see that both sides were really hurt and equally burdened. aahhh i can't explain it would have liked to see yumi and hayashida reconcile but i also know it's never gonna be easy and they're never gonna go back to how they were before. Maybe i just cried due to the thought of them having this great love story in the beginning without having their happy ending (with each other).
the author seem to know how to make readers cry :((( it's not overly dramatic but it's just near realistic to cause that slight "pinch" in my heart huhu HuanWen is freee and i know this is BL but Yuan was straight and i just get nervous. HUANWEN BE HAPPYYY
