Glad to see everybody finally ready to throw hands with these selfish ass gems that obviously gave no shits about Phos until he lost his arms and legs and finally became “useful.” Even when he came back from the moon, confused himself on exactly what the Lunarians were planning, he wanted to help the rest of the gems and believed that them coming to the moon was the best option. Yet the first thing they say is “we’re not doing this for you.” It’s incredibly casual but that statement represents the entirety of gem culture, their capacity for care/love extends to themself and to others deemed useful - that’s it. It’s part of the gems as they represent the “bones” that make up a human (or something like that it’s been a while) and take the place of the “children” in the three races depicted. The “flesh”, underwater beings, seem to be adolescence, obsessed with frills, body, and literally “the pleasure of the flesh.” Then the Lunarians are the adults, the world-weary “soul,” unable to escape no matter what they try.
Either way I am sad for phos and I want to re-shatter every gem if they don’t realize their wrongs whenever the author gets back from hiatus :)

Please ╥﹏╥ I am upset as all of you with this chapter but it’s stated by the author, the gems are genderless. It’s in every chapter too - every translation from the original Japanese, which doesn’t use gendered pronouns, to English always uses male pronouns. Yes, this is a manga but it should be important to remember this simple thing, especially because respecting someone’s pronouns in person is incredibly important as well :)

Er...yes and no. The gems don't have a SEX(gender), but they do use gendered pronouns (kinda). I think translators opted to use gendered pronouns because in English it's near impossible to avoid, versus in Japanese where it's easily avoidable.
The reason they chose male is because the gems refer to themselves as "boku" which, while doesn't specify a gender, is a pronoun mostly used by males. Females also use boku but in very rare cases.

I completely agree, I didn’t do much research on the original Japanese before I posted but that’s more where I was trying to go. I feel that when people use “she” or “her” or refer to them as girls, they’re ignoring the entire context of the manga. The author is trying make a point here and cut through gender roles and stereotypes, how people would typically see a male or a female and when people just plop down a “she” it’s obvious they’ve never paid attention to this subject throughout the manga

I saw "Emperor" and thought there was finally a manhwa about a guy getting transmigrated into a novel TT-TT the mc looks so cool too but im so sad

Have you ever read Trash of the Count's Family? It's exactly what you're looking for! http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/trash_of_the_count_s_family/

Scum Villain is a super popular one if you like BL : http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/scumbag_system/
it is about a guy who transmigrates into the villain of a novel.

always grateful, I mean, who doesn't want to read more chapters. But I'd honestly rather have to wait longer and be able to understand what's happening in each chapter than straight up mtl'd work. I'm also sad this is taking away from the main scanlator group, these chapters are getting more attention from people and their hard work is kind of going down the drain because I guarantee most people won't look at their chapters once they're posted, even if the quality is better. Also very likely mangago, as an aggregator site, won't upload these chapters again. If people are that desperate for quantity over quality, I wish they'd keep their translations private... I just hope this doesn't discourage the main team ;-;

I enjoy this story but it doesn't balance the past plot with the modern one, the audience ends up invested in only one and now it's annoying the author suddenly decides to spend so much time on the past with little to no indication on what this means for the modern timeline, if any at all.
I started reading because I was interested in the "dragon and its pearl" plot but that was just knocked to the side after a few chapters and went back to a regular modern-day genre. Thirty one chapters and still no explanation, or foreshadowing of one, for those dreams the main character had? What happened to the "punishment" of being reborn with no memories of each other. I feel that point implied there would be more difficulties in getting together, or even getting along.
This bring me to my complaint about the relationship development. Back in that one chapter when he went to CEO's house after the party, everything just seemed so rushed, like the author couldn't wait or maybe the readers were impatient to see the two actually dating. All of a sudden after being forced into having dinner with his boss, being ignored because he was thought to have slept with his cousin (?), to mc sending these intimate and friendly texts about it; It was kind of a whiplash to me, I checked to see if there were any missing pages or some part I wasn't remembering.
Other than all this, it's a really great manhwa, I enjoy the art style, and the plot is still intriguing, if not a little unorganized and I'll continue to read what the author has in store for us. It has only been 30 chapters so I'l stay hopeful for Dorook-nim

THIS, is the only "I got transmigrated as the novel's villain" I EVER want to see again
she's making her own harem from th eother characters and bashing the male leads into dust beneath her "read the novel" OP halo of knowledge. I love her

Every time I see an update I wish it was one of those stories where the protagonist escapes the stupid plot and escapes to live their own life and when the people that looked down on them before come wanting her back, she knocks em down with their OP protagonist halo. I just want to see the mc have some braincells after living two lives, y'know?
I’m suffering because of the people trying to find the ethical standards in pornographic manhwa. It’s a sexual fantasy, no one is getting hurt. There’s no beautiful little love story in this. The artist has damn good sexual fantasies and went and made the effort to draw them all out for people to enjoy if they so choose. The MC is here as representation of our collective honey minds! Cause it’s porn! That’s literally it. Either enjoy it or find some soft core vanilla shoujo to shed some tears over.
And bashing the author too like what tje fuck yoo
