Good depiction of BDSM. Now not all BDSM fetishist have a friend group with the same fetish that they all hang out with and take part in.... activities... with, but I'm sure some do. I also thought the main couple was very cute; they incorporated their love but also had a very healthy sex life that they weren't ashamed of. I've never liked a yaoi centered around BDSM before so this was refreshing.
it is totally unlike this http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hoshi_no_yakata/
which was a super gross and horrible depiction in my opinion.
I actually wasnt a huge fan of this one. Because it centered around couples but being in open relationships. While yes that happens and people are poly, and I know many friends who have the same relationship with other couples in a group I find this one not to be for me personally.
However the manga you linked is one of my favorite centered around this genre because it depicts this world in single relationships and without partners very accurately. I've been involved with the world myself (many years ago) and in the gay and lesbian worlds that manga is very much how the harder bondage and BDSM is. There are many different genres of BDSM and this one is very calm verses the one you linked. They to me cant be compared.
Well hoshi no yakata is very rapey in some scenes. It is pretty depressing at quite a few points as well. It's not about how hard the bondage is; I'm talking about how poorly the people will treat each other outside of sex in that manga. They are not healthy relationships. If it weren't defined as a bdsm manga with all the sex scenes I think most people would see their outside interactions as more disturbing and sad.
i wish there was a longer story that has to do with a physically disabled character. it doesn't necessarily have to be yaoi (though yaoi is good (▰˘◡˘▰)), but i thought that would be a very interesting manga.
All the stories are hilarious and cute! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Try koe no katachi

There are some more that I can't think of, a recent one with a kid with brain damage (but that one is so depressing). There's a historical yaoi with a guy with no arm (forget the name). And one where a guy has his arms cut off (weird). I don't remember these titles.
There are so many mixed feelings about this manga. If you want something lighthearted that follows society's glorified view of romance then don't read this because it will make you upset. The story has extremely odd circumstances.
They needed each other to break away from the really messed relationships they had with the father. I'm not sure if the two of them would stay together in the future (ideally i hope so), but they did need each other at that period of time.
It is a twisted story, but cute in it's own way.
Basically you should only date someone who you care for and they care for you. You don't necessarily have to initially like each other romantically, but there should be a level of affection and respect for one another. Also never do anything you aren't sure you want to do yet like sex etc. Mirai acts like a lot of my girl friends and also my sister where he is very wishy washy and gets walked all over, and also forms unhealthy attachments very quickly and many people who do this never grow out of it. So I do think there is definitely a moral to this story. I also feel it would've gotten really boring if they had kept drawing the story out for too long. I do wish they would have shown how brutal relationships like Mirai's can be; i think it was too light for the topic at hand.
Not a good depiction of BDSM or healthy relationships for that matter. People seem to be writing off the amount of rapeyness that's in this manga. There is just so many psychologically disturbing elements that are so unhealthy in this story. I did finish it, but it was pretty sad too since they were all super emotionally damaged people.
And i also didn't like the art at all since I read yaoi to see two guys.
the storyline is deep and there are a lot of emotions involved, but what I'm saying is that they are just all to unhealthy for me to give it a good rating because there has to be a level of emotional stability in the character for me to enjoy BDSM manga.
i would also agree. read it a long time ago and even though i would like to reread it, i am kinda scared to get myself into that storyline again
