Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe one luxury pencil but 16? He only liked it because it’s a gift she gave him, now he’s gonna think she’s a pencil otaku. I would have went the gardening or music route…she knows he loves nature and I likes classical music. Maybe a gardening tool or gloves, a plant that’s hard to kill and likes darkness, or a music box.
