I think its because he bombed the written exam. MC only answered the last and hardest question because he found the easy/modern ones difficult as he hasn't learned them yet.
But I'm pretty sure they mentioned that that question was rated more in magic test (like a bonus question) ... so if he answered that hardest question correctly then it should have been a pass. For Summoner's test he got a phoenix which the instructor knew so that should be a pass, for Swordsmanship he had a duel with the instructor as well.. So that's why the 3 professors were fighting to get him to pick their class. Unless I interpreted the TL wrong or I'm mixing my plots around since I read too many of these types of webtoons these days I don't really wanna re read but I don't think it makes sense that he's in the failing class... he should be at least in Class 3 or 4 if he really did bombed his exams

Poor Regina.. I read more of the spoilers so the people involved in Regina's bad life / death seems to be the Emperor, Remus (Lover), Connie (Poison).
The words are a bit confusing since they're using MTL.. all in all the God at the mountain at the North by Voreoti mountains wants to take revenge for Regina it seems. So it used MC's soul because MC is "strong". The god failed a few times in getting revenge so it got MC ready via reading novel in the modern world. MC real body died from a heart attack.
The Duke will hear MC's conversation with this god it seems so he might find out her soul is Transmigrated.
There's a bunch more spoilers with Baria being able to enter the "strictly Voreoti bloodline only" Mountain because she was pregnant with the Duke's baby.. She was dragged there by Remus who thinks he was able to enter because of some delulu that he's someone significant. Turns out he was led there by the god to seek revenge.

I'm re reading the official at ba2 and I just couldn't get her creepy eerie face looking at MC while she disrespect her by calling her in her Orphan name (she's a noble lady now). At first I thought she's going to try to get close to MC so she can get closer and flirt with the duke so I couldn't ignore my curiosity and checked the spoilers and I'll be darned! She's probably the one who put MC in that Orphanage to get abused. If you remember MC looked worse than the other children there which didn't make sense to me if she's really that "kind" of a caretaker she would've at least tried to keep MC clean. I find it weird that this supposedly kind lady couldn't even help MC dress up like the other children.. MC looked worse than a beggar when she first met the duke. Like she looks like she's been living in a garbage dump.
