I have to say that I love the theme of cuckoos in this manga. It was an interesting theme and I love how the mangaka explored it. All of the three main characters felt like they were stealing happiness and love that belonged to someone else, but there was also a literal cuckoo singing during some key moments. So good and beautifully written. I've read my share of yaoi and it's rare to see such poetic storytelling.
Does anyone know this shonen ai / yaoi:
The seme and uke met as kids. The seme was a foreigner and didn't speak much Japanese. He confessed as a kid to the uke, but he was holding a flower that shared a name with a girl who was part of their friend group, so the uke misunderstood. Then the seme left for a while, but now he's back and trying to find the cutie he confessed to, but the uke is directing him to the girl. In the end the mistake clears up and it's a happy ending.
What's the story where the seme dies but the uke gets one wish and uses it to change the past so that they don't meet? Then they meet up again and the free-spirited seme had become straightlaced, but they fall in love again?

It's really strange to read the comments on this one. While I agree that in real life the actions of the seme wouldn't be acceptable, this is still an erotic fantasy for girls. Just like we can hopefully play violent video games and still understand that killing and violence are bad in real life, we should also be able to understand that about the rape we see in yaoi. It is good to educate readers and remind them that in real life consent is key, and I hope that in the future we see more and more consensual sex and less assaults and dubcon. But some people just find these kinds of stories arousing, and that's fine as long as they understand the difference between reality and fantasy.
Yeah good way to put it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Yes! Someone finally said it!
