Yes im not sure but i guess its cuz Chinese language has a formal and informal form which English doesn't, my first language also has a formal and informal form which is so different and gives a special vibe to each situation when each is used like using formal in bed sounds kinky and submissive. It might comes across as cringy in English

I totally agree, while the manga doesn't really forgive her, it still kind of pushes you to be more lenient with her (esp with kuri-chan's answer "I know how hard it is to be a single mom") but I can't accept that, she prostituted her son and doesn't even seem be really remorseful about it
Honestly this is the reason why I sometimes don't like novel adaptated webtoons- They're only good at the beginning and it gets super bland once you've hit the middle. Like it's where romance starts and repetitive fights that are only done in order to emphasize mc's greatness with their one shot kills and easy victories. Anyways, power flexing like this ain't just my cup of tea.
(Except for novels like ORV, trash count etc-)
