I came back after reading the novel
Chung Myung's personality in the manhwa seemed like its part of the comedy, and partly it is BUT, chung myung is such a deep and complex character i genuinely bawled my eyes out everytime an arc ends
Honestly i already like Chung Myung but there are times when i get extremely annoyed cause i feel so bad for others, but then i remind myself those ppl are scummy and the others got beaten because they provoked him first, those fact got overshadowed cause CM's personality overwhelms the situation and it ends up like he's the bad one HAHAHA
so when I read the novel, i realized CM is actually not even trashy, his personality isn't just because of a running gag and he's actually really really precious although he's already geezer mentally, he's still like a boy when i read it, a lost boy- gosh i love him
idk how to explain it cause my vocabulary is so limited :( but, CM deserves the world-
I love how he slowly learns the things that he couldn't comprehend back in his past life
Also I love Tang Gunak sm- he's such a good bestie

Im giving this a four because it stayed true to the story and seme's character,
there's no redemption, no justification why he did what he did, no excuses
he's a psycho and still a psycho at the end of the story, he's consistent and his victim is seen as victim till end, i read this knowing its gonna be fucked up. I don't mind stories like this as long as there's no sob story on the abuser's side and they don't try so hard to justify his actions and just accepts that he's hella bad
basically this story portrayed how this particular psycho achieved his goal
i laughed so bad when he blocked the baby from uke's sight that's peak petty and psychotic
I feel like once the kid is already big enough, he might kick him out like "u old enough, move out" or someday plan how he's gonna murder the baby disguised as accident
oh how i wish most of the readers are just like you.. everyone I've encoutered here just doesn't seem to get this type of stories .. damn like, if the story is not to their taste, write their own..

like they immediately think a story is bad because the character isn't green or they're problematic
like, maybe check what the story is about?? to understand why the character is horrible? all you need to do is check what sort of person they're portrayed and their role to make it make sense why they act the way they do (ex. Psycho acting like the psycho he is?)
But I also understand others side, cause some reasonstories like this tends to justify such behaviors as a failing attempt to make their character likeable, when in fact they don't really need to? just accept theyre bad, what they've done is bad, no need for a sob groveling story or some traumatic past
I also see people who's basis of good story is "green flag character" and that's honestly fine since its their own personal basis, i just kinda hope they don't judge others for liking a twisted story with twisted character and act like people who does like it doesn't have any sort of moral like the character themselves, cause i see A LOT of them ffs
Don't blame us if we think trash character ≠ trash story
Characters can be kind and good but even so, writing can be ass or stale regardless of how good the character is
Thank you for this honest comment, so many people go into these things knowing it’s toxic and then act shocked that it’s toxic. It makes it hard to look for genuine discussion about the plot when it’s all the same comments over and over . I also liked that the ML was never redeemed, I feel like that’s such a rarity in these stories. No sob story, no “MC’s parents were abusive that’s why he killed them!!” no he’s just consistently crazy lol
Making sure the MC never uncovered his secret was a nice move, because he gets a “happy ending” living in ignorance, but the author gives him just enough skepticism to make you wonder if shits gonna hit the fan years from now.
If the don't give me a reason logical enough to redeem the seme, this manga will drop from my most favorite to absolute horrendous manga ARGHHHHHHH

but i still hope they used the evidence to reveal his brother's crime because that's not bullying, its a fucking crime- I will never understand why he easily threw away the evidence as if it's not a big deal
I hate how only the twin was getting shit, Johoon was as worse as him, how come it was treated like he didn't have any wrong in the end and only the twin got a taste of his own medicine? this is my biggest issue with korean manhwa

What do you expect when her previous work with the same story building made the antagonist a good guy in the end when the same antagonist made the main couple a living hell just cuz he wanted to drag everybody down just to prove a point that he was right? And instead of building that up (character redemption, fixing his issues), that was cramped in like 2 chapters...
There are BL mangas that are good but expect the majority have shitty writing. This one had a good opportunity wasted on an author who doesn't know how to actually build up complex story and characters.
