i found it really hurtful that they expected her to bounce out of her depression that they caused. Depression doesn't work like that!!!! You can't just bounce out of it, it's NOT A PHASE!!! The baby isn't Shitshoe's. Its the same father as her first child (The Viscount's son whom is her ex-lover/master). That is why the Viscount is blackmailing her because he threatens to reveal her status as a runnaway slave, her past relationship with his son that resulted in a child now in his care.
Btw its heavily implied due to this and the fact navier will get pregnant with King Heinley's babies (she has twin boys).
That Shitshoe is infact sterile. Yet, he originally thought it was just Navier not him lol.
And yes Trashta does flop as an empress, shitshoe wakes up (finally) to what her true nature is and she causes a lot of chaos and problems. Eventually she gets executed.
