I honestly just prefer the main couple. The first emperor’s and empress’s backstory is just confusing and not rlly my my cup of tes, ranon wants power and is lustful towards anya, anya is a fool and just a naive girl, both of them aren’t good parents… which lead to their children’s demise…or maybe im just wrong. Then again the whole story is so confusing to me, i didn’t understand a thing
