from the author's other work (viewfinder) i thought this might end up a little more wholesome but i see now that was wishful thinking TT
that's true, but i didn't say totally wholesome, i just expected this work to be less dark. what i meant is that compared to this work, viewfinder was less toxic and fcked up despite each character having their own issues. there was no implication of heavy angst thats about to come (like we see in this), or abusive and toxic themes. just surprised, thats all
