I trusted the process and the story worked so fucking good I HATED it! Sorry for the long rant but I just need to onget this out of my chest!

Damn you for making Minato cry! And yes, I am bias.

I love and hate how the story went for Minato and Shizuma. I love both of them in the previous seasons. I was even rooting for Shizuma. But what the heck.

I know Minato is too possessive and petty. All are recipes for a toxic relationship. However, this was already made known previously. It was rooted from family trauma. He has tried and slowly progressed. But his personality was already formed. So there will still be times where he will revert to it specially if it gets triggered. And that is what Shizuma will have to deal with all his life with him. It's daunting if you think about it but its lucky he is such an airhead and so inlove with Minato. But I am still rooting more for Minato and sides with him in their conflict. That is because I know where his trauma lies. And I know that he has made tons of progress to change himself for Shizuma (It really pains me to hear him say it). And the way Minato supported Shizuma through his vet exams. The way he championed him against his ex lover. How can I not be biased and not angry after making Shizuma's thoughtless actions then making Minato anxious and doubt himself again.

But authorsan really did a good job at showing Minato's sides. His childishness, vulnerabilities, and strength. It worked perfectly well.

Well I am bias but I think Shizuma's character didn't change. He was still this hopelessly inlove airheaded guy with a trauma. It is honestly admirable for people to be selfish and try really hard for their work and their partner. However, it didn't work quite well in this part of the story because Minato failed to realize his mistakes. And to think that this was the same issue as before. His fears coming back to haunt him was his own fault. He failed to realize the fears of Minato despite having dealt with it before. And he didn't try hard enough to avoid his boss. He didn't do much to resolve the conflict between them aside from trying to let Minato tell him his issues. Side note, I really hated it when he asked Minato to interrupt him and demand for his time. Like, the fuck? Why does he need to demand for your time? Isn't it a given for people to make time for their loved ones? If he is so diligent as the story would make us believe then he should be able to do it. A great example would be the scene where his boss wanted to get a cake after their house calls. I mean, why stay with them? The house calls were all done. Why make the effort to join them and make your date wait for you, AGAIN. He could have respectfully told his superior that he was leaving because he had a date. And also, that superior speaking nonesense and in a way implying that Minato is not understanding enough and patient enough of Shizuma and his career is a load of shit. In the first place, in that specific instance, Shizuma wouldn't have to worry about being late because his boss felt like eating some bread. Ugh! And Shizuma what was with the lame ass reaction to the way you boss insulted your relationship as if invalidating your struggles to get to where you both are now!

If the goal was to make me hate the boss, authorsan succeeded well.

I love this rant and wholeheartedly support every point you are making.

Just want to put my two cents that it seems Shizuma is still showing a very relaxed self within the relationship, like he knows Minato loves him and that they are together and he is just find with that, which of course in this volume backfires and all his trauma with his previous relationship comes to the surface. I believe this is something we are gonna keep seeing in the next volume until Shizuma can get thru his head that it is UP TO HIM to find a balance between work and relationships.

He is also too much of a pushover letting the boss push him around like that. I predict some tipy of heavy fight with the boss regarding his relationship and possibly quitting the clinic

I hope it won't go that way. ╥﹏╥ While I do know that they both have a long way to making their relationship as peaceful as it can get between them, with their history, personality, and people around them, but seeing them both suffer is really bad for my heart. And authorsan is really good at making you suffer with the characters. My heart just can't take it. (≧∀≦)

    I agree with you completely.
    This is really annoying..

Why is Shizuma acting like this?

Didn't he learn from his previous experience?

Why does he act so nice to everyone, especially the boss, even though he knows how upset Minato is about the matter, but he just doesn't learn?

Just imagine the roles being reversed, and Minato doing this, smiling at everyone, acting extra nice, spending time with his boss, and showing up to their date with his boss. How would Shizuma's reaction be?

I just feel bad for Minato. He's really very nice and loves Shizuma a lot and always supports and encourages him and tries to change and feel better for him, but all he gets is constant fear and anxiety because of that idiot's actions.

    Fuck this relationship

True! Though I would still love it if they resolve their issues. the most satisfying resolution, to me, would be for Shizuma to realize his mistakes and apologizes properly and create clear boundaries between him and other people. And of course for both of them to heal from their traumas. I just really love them both.

If it still isn't obvious, its the - I was just trying to get you a suprise gift so I'm gonna ask someone to help me- trope. And it just so happens that it was someone whom the uke sees as a rival.

I really hate this trope. And their damn lack of communication. Its the good the uke finally said his concerns. And hopefully, he starts to speak up more. But that airheadedness of the seme, I don't think that will change. And it annoys the heck outa me.

    mimiko February 13, 2024 1:23 pm

Lmao what do you want? For him to let mc know he will go and get him a surprise gift? That’s stupid

    XfujoshiX February 16, 2024 12:02 pm

Yes is my personal and biased answer. And no, it is not stupid. I know it won't be a surprise anymore. But considering the drama they went through, being secretive is really a bad idea. Based on the uke's character, giving a gift is already enough to make him happy.

Though I also know that this trope is used by many writers to move the story forward, that doesn't mean I have to like it. I have my own preferences in how I want a story to unfold. The way the author told the story by using this trope is not something that I agree with. But I'm not saying the author is wrong. I just don't agree with it.

Still, I will continue to read this story because so far, this is still a good read. :)

Such wholesome cute story, so why the low rating???? ヽ(`Д´)ノ

Anyway, the characters are really relatable! at least to me.

Spoiler Alert!

I adore both of them. but...

There were moments when you get annoyed with Shou because he is pessimistic. But, he tried to understand the situation and doesn't just dwell on his negative thoughts. I mean, he was suddenly in a very unexpected situation. He was confused and overwhelmed. But he sorted out his feelings. Sure, it was slow and frustrating, but he eventually realized his feelings, he honestly tells Seo his worries and it was the sweetest thing!

There was also Seo who I was slightly annoyed because, frankly, he was forcing his feelings towards Shou. Seo wants to be in a relationship with Shou immediately just because he felt like he was also in love. He didn't even take into consideration the fact that Shou had loved him in the background, quietly, while he had relationships and probably listened to his stories about his GIRLFRIENDS. Then, suddenly he was told that he loved him. Like was Shou supposed to be so thankful Seo had fallen in love with him so now he musy accept his love? He was angry because he couldn't understand the reason why he was being rejected and he didn't even think things through as he pursued Shou.

And, it was ironic that he tells Shou how he half assed his confession. It was a slip of the tongue and he never actually meant to confess. Also, Seo himself was also half assing his relationships with his girlfriends. So he had no moral high ground to say those things to Shou.

HOWEVER!

I really like the way Seo and Shou resolved their problems. Their reactions were very true to their nature. Shou was timid and pessimistic, so he took his time trying to analyze the situation. The way he also admitted his errors was very much like him. Seo, who is bubbly and enthusiastic, is quick to make action when needed. I also love that he falls in love sincerely. It may not be as whole hearted as his girlfriends wanted him to be, but he was genuine in his feelings for them.

The way the mangaka really lets you be invested in the characters is quite good. You get emotional with the characters, you pick a side and you root for them. The way that they both put effort in resolving the problem was really the best and satisfying part. So I really don't get why this has such a low rating!

I needed this to heal my soul

I like the tea in this story.

Hopefully, the resolution of this story will be good

XfujoshiX January 14, 2024 12:07 pm

I was annoyed at first with Naho because he's just so naive and blind and unaware but he is just a little precious child.

He should just forget about his childhood friend who is a coward and the jerks! ugh! And for Kana not to say anything to Naho! It just goes to show that he's looking down on him too. He may be thinking that he's being kind and all, but it's all the same. ugh!
