I thought it was already established that he married her to keep a low profile, didn't she came to that conclusion when she agreed to marry him?
Now, the devil really is in the details lmao wtf do you mean he knew about the mines. Also the baby dilemma is so unnecessary, this man has done enough for her to run away from him, why are we adding more ╥﹏╥

This writing and plot reminds me of more typical western historical romance books, he really feels like the devil trope from stories like "Devil in Winter". The point is that those books really go to town on the redemption for the hero, which is something that I have not really seen in manwha. Needless to say I'm so exited for more!

Devil in Winter is sooooo good! I would recommend it for the "devil" theme, as well as wicked and the wallflower, maybe even the duchess deal. Keep in mind, I don't think the heros are quite as manipulative as this ML but they really are morally ambiguous and very seductive.
Also good historicals are marrying winterborne and dreaming of you.
Eclise is traumatized and crazy because he was a slave, he fucked up and I can still find some compassion for his situation, but Derrick is just a fucking idiot for free bruh what the fuck is his issue, someone needs to fucking slap the shit outta him or I will
LMFAO
