I can't read this, it reminds me of my past. I respect those people who can still studying even if they r tortured physically and mentally coz it didn't work for me. More like I even gift more bad in studies coz of it but I still did coz I worked hard for myself to survive.
I really like her friend. Their friendship is really special, they r both so honest with each other and still have great relationship with each other. Love it when they express their jealousy openly without making out any big deal and still happy for each other welfare but I wish she stop insulting her friend a lil over her looks. Wow, this is so weird and awkward to read that it doesn't make any sense.
It's really awkward and sad when korean directly say they r handsome and pretty so many times to express their love. What if one of the main leads doesn't look beautiful anymore or have an accident with their face, will they still call them that ? Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty too but I never believe in these kind of concept. It's not like I have achieved this face with my hard work. The question is, what if I wasn't pretty? Will they still love me ? That's the concept I don't get in korea.
That is a human concern, rather than just a Korean one. Someone's look definitely plays a major role in their first impression, and the initial attraction. I can't speak for everyone, but I am not the type of person who can love someone based on just their looks alone. Your looks may spur someone to ask you out, but everything else will make the right person love you. Also, sometimes the opposite happens in real life. They aren't attracted to you initially, but once they get to know you, they can fall in love with you. Yes, in various mediums in life (manga, social media), there seems to be a lot of focus on people's physical appearance. I'm not saying they don't make a difference, but I believe love that lasts, is a true sentiment to the whole individual, rather than one factor.
nckskdkdk ‘i’m pretty too’ lmaoo. anyways, yes i agree. personally, i think the personality is what people should look for in a person, and the looks and social status + wealth of that person are a ‘bonus’. but also, this manwha takes place in like older times so most marriages were for political reasons and most nobles and royalty probably didn’t have a marriage with love so they would focus on things like their good looks and power (in these time periods, it was mostly commoners who married for love. if nobles were in love, it probably happened after the marriage). also, she’s trying to divorce him in a year, so she’s just saying that as a ‘reason’ to marry him, since she isn’t interested in him. :)
