The manhwa doesn’t do a good job with her characterization so that’s why some are surprised by her actions. In actuality, Ines is a cold, self-centered, strict, unromantic, rational, and sometimes violent noblewoman. Manhwa makes it seem like she’s a depressed, sad person but this is not the case.
Ines brainwashed herself since she was 6 years that her tragic lives weren’t real. She coldly and rationally decided to live her life safely without making any mistakes so she can finally die properly rather than relive another life. That meant she treats the lives of others like pawns. Added to that is her already cold personality and violent side. Now readers get a glimpse of this side of her and it will undoubtedly surprise them.

Ikr! I loved the manga but this just rubbed me the wrong way. Stalking, harassment, molestation and violence are all crimes and shouldn’t be brushed to the side. These things should be dealt with by the law. If you aren’t gonna deal with it by the law, at the very least, post about this stalker and make people aware of them! Japan is one of the worst places in the world for these types of crimes because it’s become so normalised.
