i think it’s gonna take a loooong time until we’re getting to the lovey dovey part of the story. mokyeon is definitely smitten by nanjo but he’s very much twisted and not on a level where he can admit that he has developed feelings for him, let alone be able to properly cherish him.
in the newest chapter, he gets off by nanjo’s body and the latter is not enjoying it in the slightest. no blushing, no pleasure, just pure contempt and disgust on his side. mokyeon on the other hand doesn’t feel sorry about it at all either - he even goes as far as telling him that nanjo should prepare for next time since they couldn’t have proper sex with each other or their proposal is void.
yeah… mokyeon right now is a red flag through and through, but the way the author has set up the story makes me want to believe that he has some underlying issues that make him crave love and affection, something he frequently sees nanjo give to seonhwa unconditionally. it will infuriate him more and more, little by little, until he finally blows up, eventually realizing that he wants nanjo all to himself. i’m very curious about how nanjo will develop feelings for mokyeon in the future, because it’s looking kind of grim right now lol.
and also!! the author said that she’s looking to conclude the story in about 50 chapters so we still have a long way to go.

honestly i was surprised when i saw so many people hating on the art style on here and on other sites as well because when i first started the series, i was honestly so in love with the whole atmosphere the author created. it’s like watching a noir movie unfold in film stills. the art style isn’t as clean cut and sleek as in other series but it works so much for this type of story imo. the characters aren’t meant to be polished and perfect. they’re rough around the edges, flawed and conventionally masculine which works just perfectly with this kind of art style.
i personally love the author’s art and it kind of frustrates me to see so many people complain about it being bad or ugly when it’s literally not. i clearly remember reading the first chapter when it got published and being in awe with how cool the manhwa looks, how different it was from other series..
idk man we’re all in the same boat here, at the end of the day we just wanna see two dudes getting it on for free. so if you’re into yaoi because of the bishounen that’s great! go off!!! that’s totally valid! but trashing on art styles because it differs from what you’re usually used to is honestly not only annoying but also disrespectful as hell. don’t disrespect the work creators put into it just because it doesn’t match your own individual taste that you don’t even have to consume let alone pay for. it really can’t be that hard.

Wait, who complained about the art style? I'm a huge fan of this BL and I'm on every platform following its news & and I've never came across the art's bashing. People however were mostly complaining about Jake's physique and hairstyle calling him blond Eminem and ugly and other negative names. Some of them even asked the author to change his hairstyle many times, threatening to stop reading the BL otherwise lol, the audacity of these foks! Aren't you confusing the complaints about Jake's physique with the overall art of this BL? From what I know, the art style has always been praised and even the ones who complained about Jake's being ugly ended up falling for him lile crazy

noo i wish! there really are quite a few out there that complain about the art style in general
i mean you’re right, jake does get the most flack esp since his buzzcut and his pale skin are an acquired taste lol (could not be me though i found him hot since the beginning! but i digress). there are actually a lot of things about the character design that people complain about: their broad bodies, the way their faces and chins are drawn, shin’s asymmetrical eyes, etc… people therefore find the characters ugly (which still isn’t true btw i will defend their designs with my life) and ultimately conclude that the art style is ugly as a whole and ignore the intricate details (esp in lighting!!!) and beautiful composition the artist gives us to accompany and underline the superb storytelling. idk maybe we’re both just moving in different spaces but i see complaints quite frequently and it’s honestly so frustrating to me

That's crazy!! I've never thought people will have bad things to say about the art in general. To me every single panel is literally a masterpiece. And Im glad the artist picked a unique style for Jake. It shows how original and bold she is. Although I do understand it's not to everybody's taste, I'll never get how people pick a character's physique over a plot and the overall dynamic of the protagonists. Bunch of immature folks most likely. It's just sad.

this manga was made for me i've been begging for a yaoi manga where the two love rivals are falling for each other for ages!!!! DECADES!!!!!!!!!
i swear this trope should way more popular esp in yaoi

Idk if you have read this but here is one that i can remember from the top off my head rn
