I love this manga until the author broke my heart and decided to chose Mamura as Suzume's partner.
I get the whole cliche pattern thing that happens in shoujo manga. Stereotypically in shoujo manga the girl usually ends up with the first guy even if he is a jerk. In my opinion the author only wants to get the impression that her manga is not your ordinary 'shoujo'. But come on sensei is not the bad guy here, it's not his fault that he fell in love with Suzume his student. What's also the deal with the uncle, it not like sensei is commiting a crime and sleeping with her. What so bad in courting or showing your feelings to your student. I think sensei is willing to make a compromise and wait for her to graduate before truly making a bold move on her but then the uncle just have to over react.
I'm still mad about this.
I'm not against Mamura but I didn't like the ending at all. It was force...
I truly believe that sensei is Suzume's daytime shooting star...
I think the most realistic ending would be for Suzume to end alone.. But that probably wouldn't make anyone happy...
Yes, I hated the ending so much that this is my most hated manga.
But I have to disagree with you, this was the most rational, logical, right and realistic ending.
P.S I had made exactly same choice as Suzume, so I understand the ending... still, FCK IT. (︶︿︶) Shishio doesn't deserve this bullshit.
