Yvonne is the dukes daughter, who got lost during a festival. I don't remember this part very well so there may be some mistakes. She was kidnapped by some people i think and somehow died. Then an ancient laylan posessed her, that's why shes all creepy now. So shes the real daughter who died and a laylan possessed her dead body.
I believe the people who kidnapped the real yvonne was the laylan and that cult she has—I could be mistaken but if i remember: the laylan kidnapped her, then killed her, then possessed her after they killed her.

As i said, ptsd, so yeah, his past has some rough parts… up until we get to know this, this was a healing for us to read. Then hell for both of us. Then after came his healing. Honestly nice story, but if you cant stand suffering, i do not recommend reading it. Or atleast skip the hard part (but we cant do that always, can we? :,) )
