I like how this chapter of once again trying to make prince guy look better highlights how fundementally flawed this setup is.
First half of the shit discussed is about his mom looking exactly like FL. This is catastrophic for any possible connection these two characters could have had. Like, i normally dont mind dumb FLs, but this is absurd. Even a freakin trogolodyte would see this reveal as a fucking relationship shattering fact.
Then, the thing w the maids gossiping being treated as if they are judging him unfairly. They literally work for him. They are gossiping about him being an ass, because they are literally some of the only people in the kingdom who see him firsthand. We already have seen how he treats those he doesnt have a crush on via his treatment of his own fiance. This is just more damning shit against him.
Anyways I'm just here for Kyle and the comments. And YES, I DID notice that even after saving her life we got zero Kyle time and he immediately got shafted for these shitass dylan setups #－.－)
I honestly didn't notice anything that bad. This translation is great compared swarmmanga or the tree one. Plus we don't even have to deal w watermarks. Shoujo manhwa translations are just like this, and I promise you, if the current translators dropped it would only be downhill.
If you don't like minor grammar errors, most webcomics nowadays get an official translation anyways, which we will be spammed with notifs for 400 times in a row.
Translation is all done by volunteers, and unless you wanna step up to the plate and think you can do better, we need to treat them well. There are so many awful content farming translators, getting a group that cares even a little bit and doesn't remove pages, miss pages of dialog, or put watermarks over every characters face is a godsend.
I apologize for the rant, I know some of you may say my standards are low. And yeah, maybe they are. But I promise you, after having to drop so many good series because they are just. Absolutely incomprehensible or abandoned altogether because of lack of translators. We really need to care for those who put the work in.
What the fuck is going on, like I know the basic premise, but 13 chapters in and nothing makes sense anymore. Characters appear and disappear at random, showing up and doing and adding nothing. Some panels things happen and then it's just. Not mentioned after??? Did she get hit?? Did she hit someone?? Who the fuck knows, god knows it won't be relevant during the next text dump regardless. It's a shame because the main 2 are fun and all, but this is just way too incoherent for me
Love a good comments section where everyone is on the side of everyone besides the main ML. We can all suffer together when she doesn't end up w Kyle or the fiance. I'm on Kyle's side myself (￣▽￣)
I feel like if they retained literally any of the "being obsessive" thing the ml supposedly struggles with this plot would work more. Instead, he actively LETS her run off and doesn't even go to visit her. Him not having any of these traits(even minor indicators, I'm nos saying I WANT him to be an ass) also weakens Nellan's motives, since it feels like Nellan is angry at a completely different guy, making the moral debate a lot less interesting
Besides the other 90 plotlines that get ditched, the one that pisses me off most is Nellan. He had SO much potential as a villain, since he had justifiable reasons to hate jerrard while also being calculated and using his time to get revenge. This plotline being dropped as "nobody knows where he went" is so DUMB, there's no freaking way that guy would stop going after Jerrard.
I really think this story probably got forcibly cancelled or something because I don't think anyone would WILLINGLY end a story this way. This is the least satisfying ending I've read in a while.
The cult members are really the underdog best characters in this, big fan of them. Friendship goals ngl (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
