So, I read this for the 5th time straight through (quarantine be like) and I’m starting to like Jennette. You can tell the more you read, that she is honestly clueless and genuinely just wants her, Athy, and Claude to be a family. She literally brought Athy up to Claude knowing the risk because she wanted them to be happy again, and it lead to progress. She has always had pure intentions with what she does, and I don’t think she deserve hate for her own father using her as a pawn. I hope that in the end she can get rid of her curse and live happily because she deserves it.
This story doesn’t really sit well with me anymore, I do not know why. Seeing Perrat heartbroken and then slapped is just not my cup of tea. I like the third prince and Vassar together, but it’s just weird to me. I am not too sure if I am going to continue reading. I don’t know if I’m just being sensitive or what so lmk what y’all think

Alright. No tea, no shade, but I dropped this at chapter 83 after having full plans on finishing it. It was SO good. But the second Lonnie gave his shoe to MelodyーI simply could not. WHAT IS UP WITH PEOPLE AND LOSING THEIR SHOES. The trope is sorta ridiculous. So now we have Melody sharing the shoes of both Claude and Lonnie within like 5 chapters of each other…¿
And I really liked Melody at first—but now I’m sort of like, where did that depth go? She literally lost all personality once we skipped to the future. And don’t get me started on the reverse harem… I’m also just not feeling Claude as the ML for this one. We have also reached the point where Melody can do no wrong, and she has an army of guys behind her to back her up. And while she isn’t doing anything CONSCIOUSLY to make these men like her, she also is fully aware of it? And then what happened to her being a palace recorder? Now she’s like playing Sherlock Holmes with Claude instead? And now it’s pretty clear that Loretta is being paired of with…a literal infant, as of maybe 20 chapters ago? It’s giving Lady Baby. I just HATE when a story with potential falls into the same reincarnation slop plot once we reach like chapter 70. Not enough Loretta, not enough Lonnie, and shoot, Jeremiah and Isaiah too deserve more screen time. They keep me more entertained than the couple. I sound insane but I seriously went from so excited to come home and read this after work today, to dropping it. All over the damn shoes.
Sameeee I've been contemplating dropping this. For me the story was perfect at the start, the fl wasn't stealing the original heroines love interests. She was much older so she couldn't be wrapped in that, I was a bit skeptical about the Lonnie at first cause he was showing interest in the fl but j thought it was still just friend stuff since he was young...
Then time skip hit, everything was killed, every other man in this story started falling in love with her, Lonnie, Claude, Isaiah and even Jeremiah like what? And then don't get me started on the INFANT, what in the hell and how is he the love interest for Loretta. He was a literal infant when she was 5-6 its wierd. Hat happened to August the AGE APPROPRIATE love interest. Don't get me started on the age gap between Claude and Melody like what's with reincarnation stories and these crazy age gaps. How is she 17 and he is 21 . That's why I'd honestly prefer Lonnie cause they the same age but they've focused so much on Claude that it feels wierd wanting him to be the ml.
I'm just on the fence I'll still read it but I might quit once they develop the infant and Loretta's relationship.
4 and 6 years age gap is not that crazy though, and melody is legally adult when it happened ._.
though i agree the moment it time skipped and everyone suddenly romantically loves her, the story kinda fell off, but because i want more of their relationship development towards those "romance feelings" instead of "oh hey she's legal now so i can date her! yippe!" kind of thing (my wording is so bad but that's the vibe get post-timeskip ngl)
