I was curious about that to, and he caught the battery Beni dropped as well, in a much earlier chapter. Since it was after he told Ri that they could go to a cooler place, and he was in that house I'm wondering if they didnt keep going from the past, and future a few times visiting over and over. Thats the impression I got from it. Being in that warehouse, makes me think that they might have used it to go to the future as well. Thats just a theory I had. That bit was kinda confusing for me to.

if you watch the context and names, etc., the little girls name is Momo. The mom looks exactly like Beni. So I thnk it's Beni's future
