I’m assuming Yona is an albino judging by description…I find it hard to believe otherwise.
I see aspects of sexualisation here of a particular , yes we know which I’m talking about here. The horrid representation of cultural clothing, this is obv set in the Middle East area, judging by the architecture (the domes in particular are religious architecture…), appearances(faces) and language….that being said it’s disappointing. I’d just add a sprinkle of colourism, since I wouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt, as well as fetishisation... no surprise there.
Last how does changing your name, given to you by your parents, or whoever took care of you equal the exchange of nothing or an engagement, like not even marriage? This is an engagement…Lordy Lordy. Like can’t they both change their name, the Prince said that he wants the mc to see them as equal, ik it’s tradition for them, but changing the mc’s name, that he’ll take on for the rest of his life, all whilst all he doesn’t need to change his name but just receive suin else important from the person who has just gotten their name changed is wild, there’s nothing equal in that, it’s literally one person giving up everything important for the other. It’s not an equivalent exchange, and we can clearly tell what “gender” that is, that assumes that position of a relationship, as we can see two instances of that happening (yes I’m kinda reaching here).
Anyway…that’s the end of my rant. Good night.

I like when characters are somewhat complex, esp in manhwas*, for whatever reason some readers like to act as if it’s commission based work, that the author has to do as the readers say, which is disappointing, exploring such human emotions and thought brings more to a character, think of it as the English books we analyse in class…not necessarily the same but we can appreciate that a lot of thought went into it, and rather than the simple nice guy character, which can be quite bland, this is much more intriguing . I’m not saying that I approve of nasty, grotesque plots and characters…I don’t necessarily like toxic, but I can see reason behind this somehow, it’s quite clear why they are behaving this way, I only hope ,however, that the mc one day has the strength to deny the ml, perhaps this will fuel for an even more intense plot by that point, for more crucial thinking by the two main characters, of what they both truly want and how they should go about it…though I can see that it is already starting to become intense.
It just gets worse
