Reading manga is like a drug. It's usually given to you by a friend that is also addicted even though you don't want to but eventually you'll enjoy the feeling of using it. You'll start to be influenced and eventually, you will keep looking for more. It's a hunger that cannot be filled, a thirst that cannot be hydrated. It's a craving that will never be satisfied, It's pouring water on a jar with a hole that continually leaks. It will never be full, you have to keep pouring in more. It's an insatiable desire that will be stuck with you forever.

I also wonder about that. The flashback chapters are always written one day on the top. When I was new to reading this I thought this manhua was called one day didn't they decide to name their band one day too? I thought the band name will be called 19 days I don't know why just a reference to the actual manhua name. but who knows, maybe when the flashbacks are over and the future chapters reach a certain point then we can start counting the actual 19 days? what will happen in the span of those 19 days? I have no clue, just random thoughts.
I actually know this bc I've been reading this since it basically started all the way back in 2016. At first this characters weren't supposed to a serialized story. They were part of a collection where each "day" was different scenarios and characters. With 19 days as we know it now was just "a day" out of all the other scenarios. But old Xian ended up liking the characters and developed an actual story for them and the name of "19 days" was kept.
Bc as I explained in the other reply "one day" was originally just a part of 19 others story and scenarios. OX liked the characters and the 19 days we know now was born.
Woah! That's so interesting! I didn't know about that, so she was actually gonna do just 19 chapters, each chapter a different stand alone story and end it with just 19 chapters. I'm so glad she developed her idea!! Thank you for the clarification.
No sorry I didnt properly explain it but the original 19 chapters were an anthology each of them from different authors. Then Old Xian developed the character into the story we now know. That's why the first like 50 of so chapters of 19days (the story we are reading now) are just single drawing with no dialogue. When the story then become what we now have there was discussions whether it should be called One day or 19 days but by that point the name "19 days" had already stuck so OX went along with it. For a long time up until like 2018 I want to say but don't quote me on that we were actually keeping track of the timeline bc we thought 19 days was going to be some sort of count down to the day jian Yi disappears but then after YEARS of reading we got past the that day and nothing happened. The story moves so slowly I actually keep forgetting there was supposed to be a plot bc now we been post time skip for what two years?
Oh... different authors? Each chapter was planned to be drawn (tell a story) by 19 different authors? I got quite confused, from what I understood it's like OX agreed with other 18 people, each one to write a story and altogether on agreement publish it as 19 days?
kinda looks like the name was lost on the manhua. I think in the future will get chapters about his disappearance and everything else that needs explanation, I think OX saw potential in the characters and we got chapters about their past, like for qui for example, jian yi's mother, we might get the background story of shi li, who knows, I think the author wanted to delve into them and give depth which was nice. however, I'm confused about this first part of the explanation, 19 authors were supposed to work on this! Woah!!

Basically 19 different authors made 19 short stories that got published as "19 days" it was an anthology and the 19 short stories have nothing to do with each other. Old Xian was one of those authors. Old Xian story was an Ad for Sony and they PSP. This is now "chapter 1.1 one shot" here if you scroll all the way at the bottom. Then Old Xian decided to take the characters and "reuse" them for the 19 days we are currently reading. As you can see the characters personality were very different in that one shot like zzx was very violent and brash. Anyhow from that OX started making illustrations featuring them and shortly after really self contained very short chapters. Or "one day" in their lives. That's where the one day comes from. This ended up being the first 100 or so chapters. As for example mo gua shan doesn't appear until chapter 116. So with time the chapters got longer and longer and a plot and story was actually developed. Please tell me I gave a better explanation now （/TДT)/
Oh you did! Sorry I gave you a hard time. I had no idea she started this as an add! I'm glad it is what it is now. I went back and checked and saw that the story started to get shape from chapter 22, where we started to have a bit dialogue. Isn't there any question & answer from the author about the writing/art process? That would be lovely to see!
PS. If she wasn't connected to the name 19 days and dropped it, she would have chose the name of the manhua to be one day I guess
