OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I FOUND A HIDDEN JEM OF A STORY! It's so refreshing. The slow burn is so good too. Like it's slow but progressing at a decent pace too. Lately there's been more and more stories that involve deaf characters after A Sign of Affection and I'm loving them. It's great seeing characters with handicaps navigate the world.
This has become one of my many comfort reads. It's so nice to see such a healthy adult relationship portrayed. Since so many BLs have very toxic storylines, inappropriate age gaps, SA, incest etc.

the lack of communication always kills me in these scenarios. Like I get it's for the plot but sometimes I just wanna read a BL where it's a healthy relationship and everyone knows how to talk to each other and clear up misunderstandings or work through problems faster. This story reminds me of Hikaru and Kaoru From Ouran High School Host Club... how the twins would switch and play Guess which one is Hikaru game and how Haruhi was the only one who was able to tell them apart and for the first time they finally found someone who could tell them apart.
