I really love it when the mangaka takes time to build up the story and allows the reader to understand the characters, see them grow, and see the characters back story. Also it's nice when the mangaka doesn't constantly throw smutty sex scene in every chapter. I like the sweet and innocent moments cause when the mangaka does throw in the smutty sex scene i appreciate those scenes more. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
*But don't get me wrong for some yaoi manga constantly having a smutty sex scene every chapter works for the story.* (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I agree. I enjoy reading Kuronejo Kareshi (as an example of smut per chapter), but I reeeally enjoy this sweet, fluffy stories or even angsty ones that show not only the physical relationship between the protagonists, but also their psychological one as well as the hurdles they have to overcome without any hurry.
Yes, indeed! SO agree with this comment!
I think it's categorized as shounen-ai because the older brother has feelings for the younger one as you see in the last few pages when she asks the older brother if he really likes Ryuu and he blushes. But it definitely throws you off cause the drawing style is very much like shoujo manga.
but that's just a sub-plot. the main plot is a hetero romance.
