Alright, can we talk about Hanzo and his habit of rejecting Usagi constantly? Even after he his love for her he goes and makes her suffer. I know he was hurt when everything happened but so was she, and he left her alone to mourn, he left her alone period, when he was older, supposed to be more mature and had promised to protect her

I agree.
He could have come back and both planned revenge together, but he chose 'death' .
Even the Cruel Ran.... would have gone for her (...well she did make him cruel... .... I think... kind of like a stalker.... and still I liked him...^&^') ... though to be fair... She was a stalker to Hanzo in her own way..... ... -_-'
Gemon who she kept rejecting, kept coming back... but she shut off her heart.
a twisted part of me would have liked to know what he'd have liked to know what he would have done if she carried through with her original plan.

you mean poisoning Nobunaga? He'd have probably disappeared and lived a bitter life. Honestly, I hate how Shojo sometimes makes it all about the women, as in the women have to do the chasing and be strong and keep coming after the guy when he rejects them even when they are physically in pain because somehow it is our job to heal the men and we always seem to be the ones making the mistakes in the relationship, it is rare to see a guy apologizing in this type of stories. Like Itazura no kiss, the girl lives 10 years of unrequited love and she stresses so much that she even gets pancreatitis. The dude only gets interested after she is engaged to another guy and never apologizes for what he put her through

0o0 *clap* *clap* XD Couldn't have said it better myself!
and even if the girl Does Save the guy... its like a 2:10 ratio, even if she's strong in the beginning.... you can bet your money she will become wimpy, dependent on the guy, ...desperate.... this could go on for centuries
I have read Harlequin manga where the guy gets on his knees... but it was like 4 out of 700 and in the end the guy gets the girl.....seriously they need to know when to say enough is enough, punch the guy and live a better life than one stuck at his side

ヾ(☆▽☆) girl you get me, lol. Why do we do this to ourselves? I mean I know I give the story a chance thinking it will become sweet and when it does it is so worth it, like Fated to Love You or Cunning Single lady (Korean dramas), but sometimes it just doesn't get better. Out of all of the stories I've read very few have left me satisfied with the ending

I think the positives of the story is that we hear HIS inner thoughts as much as we hear hers, and most harlequin stories only focus on the perspective of the girl. In this way we understand the story much more fully, at least that is my humble opinion. Another plus, the guy is not a jerk, he realizes he has feelings for her and he confesses right away without twisting his feelings, hers or the situation itself. His shock and hurt seemed very genuine and natural. Perhaps not justified but his pain is understandable. Also, he didn't suddenly decide not to carry out his plan anymore, it was a slowly-arrived transition.

For all her insistence that he teaches her she should have been learning to please herself, would have saved her a lot of hardship. Just saying

You and I both, I especially hate the "you will marry me because I said so" plot and the worst is when they are like "OK". There is literally nothing that can coerce me into getting married with someone, even if I am so poor I have to eat dirt or I have to fight for a child's custody you better believe I am not going to take the easy way out and give in.

you really do understand me.. well honestly i have a big ego, and never had much faith in love- or onyone for that matter- either .. i learnt the hard way , i don't know whether you know the chinese drama the journey of flower , but for me qien gu acts as a reminder , someone i'll never become , maybe they're many who admire that innocent love of hers but for me she was just a disappointment , she was strong to begin with but then she had to give up her power and authority as a Demon god for someone who won't even admit that he cares for her , utterly stupid !!!! the main point is Even if nobody in this world love you, you have to love yourself , rather i strayed off topic .. Didn't i !

Lol no the initial topic was to love oneself although I meant physically but yeah and you are right there is nothing natural in those sorts of loves. I don't like to say I will never do something but I hope I'm not blind or desperate enough to be begging for the crumbs of someone's love. It honestly turns me way off when the male mc approaches the lady forcibly especially when she looks scared or cries. I find it much more romantic when the man declares he won't touch the girl until she wants him to

it's not that i don't like it when the male approaches her forcibly .. i just don't like the weak ones , those who just trimble and go with the flow . in these situctions you gotta have self confidence, voice your thoughts and take control , i don't like it when they wait for the guy to even just kiss ,if you're already intoxicated with desire damn push him and kiss him .. even better top him , but i still yet to find someone like me in manga

I hate that we got to see more action (which wasn't even consensual) from her and the singer than her and the marquess. It was better than most stories because he wasn't a jerk, but he could have been more straightforward about his feelings and that rapey incident would have likely been avoided. Also didn't like the clingy friend, even as a Latina I think that she was disrespecting personal boundaries although the marquess never seemed to care. I think they were both in cahoots trying to make the girl feel jealous
what's the manga from page 1?
