They resembled each other as children because Arina was thin and sickly and Hari was malnourished, but that resemblance disappeared in one year, as Hari finally got regular meals. Their facial features (in the novel) and eye color are different; the only thing they have in common is hair color.
Plus, the only one who thought that Hari and Arina looked alike in the novel was the mother, who was suffering from psychosis at the time. If the two actually resembled each other more, don't you think there would be more Arina flashbacks? Since looking at a girl who resembles their dead sister will certainly make them remember Arina more? Especially for Erich.
