I can understand what Shin is going through & thinking. Shin still believes he is Wolfgang sin, which is not, and that's why he keeps denying his love for Wolfgang. He feels like he is in the way somehow.

Sys said that all of the guards are at least 15 years of age (that's the youngest age that he will hire them) and I want to say that he is a few years older than Shin
Took me a while to find it since they are just said as a pass by, but I found them. In season 1 chapter 34 when they are talking about how Sys's men are disguised under his "strange pastimes".
In season 2 chapter 11 (page 4) Sys says where he gets his men from and that he hires them at age 15.
