So like did the original Regina have healing powers ? What if he didn’t actually kill the original just kept her in his dungeon and slowly fell in love with her then !? The original is a mystery thriller novel so there could be a whole plot twist especially since Mc didn’t finish the book , what if ML actually just kidnapped her and the king had her and ML killed himself in the original to protect the then Original FL ? Something ain’t adding up and I need more explanation on the healing powers…
I feel like the emperor poisoned himself cause things wasn’t going according to plan like he wanted to with CP and Rebecca , prolly thinking his death will force co to grow up ! But I’m confused I thought Greenie - can’t remember his name rn) was all for Payne ? What the heck is going on or is this a trick ? Someone dropped the novel or spoil me please
I think so. He seems to be under the illusion that once he's emperor he can do whatever he wants, and make everyone else do the work. But mainly it's his parents fault. They have spoiled him rotten, to the core, and now they expect him to pull his own weight. Which is not going to happen, the trash seems to feel like getting rid of the emperor will solve all of his issues. Next question?
Well going off of that train of thought then it should make sense that if he became king he'd just through all that work like always to Arth and maybe also Rebecca, the reason being is because that's literally the main reason the king chooses her as Johnesse wife. And they wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. Why? Because he would have absolute control over them and unless they want to commit mutiny on him they would keep quiet. Now if Johnesse is even the smallest bit smart enough he would know that the kingdom itself would not be satisfied until the killer was found. So who would he choose to through under the bus to take the fall, and would satisfy the whole country?
I think that he would set Pain up as the one that poisoned the king. It is well known that Pain is hated by the royal family. He is sent out to war under the hopes that he will not return, and the CP is VERY jealous of Pain, and he suspects that those he relies on (i.e. Rebecca and Arthe) are leaning towards Pain and pulling away. I believe that the CP is smart enough to try and use Pain's execution as way of making them stay through fear of it happening to them. He's already showing his intentions by telling Rebecca that she will love him, and sore him, and treat hkke the future king by acting like the future queen. As far as him taking responsibility for his actions, no, he will never do so even if the evidence all point to him and no one one else.
Mhmm exactly what I was thinking! But another side theory if that isn't the case, which is HIGHLY unlikely, would be a random servant who took care of the king regularly and was paid off by the prince to take the fall. Since the doctor said that the poison the king took was being given to him regularly for months, it has to be someone who was in close proximity for that amount of time. So the prince would tell the servant to take his fall and in exchange, they would get something in return and maybe how a chance to escape and live in freedom else where.
Yeah, I still agreed with you on that no doubt. Okay here's my last question. I'm going off of another comment someone else made but did the king poison himself as a sort of test for Johnesse? I mean the king has to know how lazy his son can be "sometimes", hence marriage with Rebecca. So he might've given himself a poison that will put him in a coma but not kill him, and got recommended it from the doctor. All of this is a sort of test for the crown prince to truly check if he's ready or not to rule when he's gone. And once he's bach he'll ask all of his most trusted subjects to report how he did.
No, his test for the CP was the delegation party. Plus, there is only one thing in the palace that only the king eats. He's the only one of the royal family that likes sweets. If he was poisoning himself he wouldn't have offered any to his wife and son in earlier chapters. And before you ask about the sweets, the king was poisoned slowly over time, but the queen and CP were not so it would have to be something only the king consumes that held the poison, which means it's his sweets. It's stated that the king is the only one who eats them, and that since getting sick they are the only thing that he seems to like, so I'm sure that was how he was poisoned.
Ohh I completely forgot about that part! Then yeah that does make sense. Okay so to review: The most likely person to poison the king is the prince, Johnesse. How he did it was most likely the candy the king likes so much, the more he ate the more poison he would consume to the point where he is now laying in bed on the brink of death. The reason why the prince did this was to gain power and control over the kingdom so that way he can do whatever he wanted and through all the complicated political stuff onto Arth and Rebecca. From there he would put all the blame onto Pain as the killer and because of like 90% of the kingdom's hatred of him they would agree and have him executed. On Johnesse's side of the story, this does sound like a full-proof plan on paper. If not for my boy Arth already scheming up his own plan, the many MANY people around Pain as witnesses/alibis (i.e Lily and the foreigners), and because Pain is like 80% of the military power in the kingdom. If he dies this whole country is screwed!
