I was actually expecting that the uke would run away or commit suicide. Although he made some pretty shitty choices, I still can't bring myself to blame him. All he wanted was a job to pay his tuitions fee and most of the jobs either don't offer enough payment or he just failed to get employed over and over again. This of course leads to his downfall.
The CEO is dick and we all agree to that. He started this mess and drove the uke to take drastic choices. And it all begins by offfering the uke all money he needed in one night. Being a student is costly (some of us must have it far more worst than others) and the uke was so cautious that he even laid out some rules. The longer he studies, the more money he needed. Who else should he go if it wasn't the CEO who can give all the mobey he needed?
The mom indeed worked her ass off so that she and the uke can lead comfortable lives. She did what she can as a single mother and as she got older, she would gradually grew tired and just wish for a stable life. She could have tried to figure out what is wrong with her son if she wasn't old and tired. It is just natural for me to think that she is just worried for her son but didn't have the energy or time to search about her sons problem.
Junsik is just a tool that the uke used to be free. Sure some of you can diagree but in my point of view, he is just a victim like the uke and his mom. He wanted his crush to love him back, thats all. He could've confessed like any other normal person if he wasn't so self-coucious about everything. (Like most of us i guess )He took drastic choices when he realised that the uke still didn't like him. Heartbroken is confermed to be felt but what a lovesick guy gotta do when his loved one is caught up in a mess? He would help out for sure.
The murder of the uke's mom is shocking and must have bring him guilt. Who wouldn't be guilty for killing someone innocent and the mother of your loved one at that? He of course felt that he should take respondsiblity for her death and would feel that its is natural for the uke to hate him.
In conclusion, the uke, the mother and Junsik are just victims who had to act according to the situation and ended up paying the price of each choices. The CEO got what he wanted and will forever be the winner unless the artist of Unfather make another season with some new choices that hopefuly free one of the remaining vicitms.
