    honestly? because she doesn't have the guts to do so and confront the patriarchy. If she wanted, she could stand up for herself, but even in her love life, she wanted the man to tell her what to do with her life, who to choose. How can someone like that be president? (and I'm talking specifically about this character, not in general)

    yeah, I agree that she was brought up like this, but still, someone who just accepts this in silence would not make a good president (in my humble opinion, of course). Her brother was treated like shit but he finally realizes that he is his own person (while she still is accepting things in silence) so i think he would be a better president, in comparison.
