It’s such a 180 that it’s jarring. To give benefit of the doubt maybe it’s meant to be the authors attempt at some toxic dark romance shit but 1. Should’ve just made a whole separate story atp cuz wtf is this, it’s hard to believe this and the main story takes place in the same universe at all 2.
